Swiping Machines in Gaya Part of 24-Hour Clean City Strategy with Local Cooperation

As part of a bold push to keep Gaya clean around the clock, the city administration has launched a 24-hour cleanliness drive involving both citizens and municipal workers. A key feature of this campaign is the installation of swiping machines in Gaya, aimed at improving accountability and speeding up waste management efforts.
Eighteen areas have been declared no-garbage zones, with shopkeepers and locals urged to maintain cleanliness and report violations. A toll-free helpline active until 11 PM—allows residents to report waste, which will be cleared within 90 minutes. This initiative reflects a growing culture of civic responsibility and digital governance
Dr. Akhoury Onkar Nath alias (Mohan Shrivastava) speaking on the occasion, said:
“All cleaners are connected, and the local representatives have called a meeting. They have been instructed that no garbage should be thrown inside at 18 designated places. The public will also have clean-up outside the shops at the entrance. After five minutes, some people will be present. After ten minutes, ten more people will join. After half an hour, twenty more will be there. Garbage will be visible outside; anyone can take a photo of it. The process of collecting and keeping it is ongoing. There should be continuous interaction and mutual relationships among those involved. The time has been specified for highlighting this effort according to the city’s status and reputation. Efforts have been made where the cooperation of everyone is expected. The day everyone cooperates; your city will be pristine and will remain better and cleaner 24 hours a day due to this management. We are establishing a toll-free number for 24 hours until 11 PM to report where garbage has fallen. There is traffic and crowds during the day, so within an hour and a half, the garbage will be collected and taken away. The work on these roads should not be interrupted. This is the context.”
Gaya Launches Night Clean-Up Mission with Swiping Machines and Public Support

The dreams that Gaya had are being realized by Dr. Akhoury Onkar Nath have come this far. Now, whether it is about these three machines covering 50 kilometers at an average speed of 40 kilometers at night, it means that to cover such a range, we will go there, come back, and then go again. After that, cleanliness in the Sahar area is maintained through the entire mechanism. This is a night cleanliness campaign, and during the day, Gaya have been in contact with Smart City.
Dr. Akhoury Onkar Nath alias (Mohan Shrivastava) speaking on the occasion, said: If garbage falls anywhere, we are all responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the night, and if the same happens in the morning, what benefit will it bring? Therefore, we are also running an awareness campaign and urging people to dispose of their trash on time, at a designated place, so that all the garbage can be collected and taken to its proper location.
